Dawn
and Gary Kinsley are pleased to welcome you to Château
de Saint Vallerin. Situated in the very pretty village
of Saint Vallerin, we’re able to provide a friendly
and relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the delights
of the Bourgogne region, or just stop en-route to the
South of France, Switzerland, or Italy, if driving is
your holiday preference.
Saint Vallerin is
in the heart of wine country, and vines are on view
from just about every aspect of the Chateau. With a
history spanning nearly 500 years, the Château was once
the hub of the wine industry in the surrounding valley.
Now we prefer to enjoy the countryside, wine, food and
friendliness of the surrounding area, while hosting
guests from around the globe. We will be happy to arrange local wine tasting visits if required.
Situated 20 minutes
drive, south west, from Chalon-sur Soane, (15 minutes
from the Motorway), Saint Vallerin is an excellent location
for a driving holiday. A comfortable 7 hour drive from
the Channel crossing points (can be done sub-5 hour),
and a similar distance from the south coast; a one or
two night stop is ideal if your pleasure is “Grand
Touring” in Europe. Geneva is approximately 2
hours drive, and the Alps can even be seen from the
Chateau on a clear day.
If your hobby
is General Aviation, the airfield at Chalon sur Soane
is well equipped, and we’d be happy to offer a
car pick-up service. Ballooning in this region is very
popular with Balloons frequently flying over the Château
at weekends. You can see "Burgundy by air" by taking a helicopter
ride from Chalon's aviation centre or simply buy a gift ride for someone special.

• Chardonnay Cottage - 3 bedrooms sleeps 6 comfortably plus accommodation for 2 more on a double sofa bed. This cottage is on two levels with private outdoor dining furniture in front of the cottage. It has been equipped with full modern amenities including dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, oven, toaster, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, satellite t.v. and partial central heating plus a wood burning stove in the lounge. A BBQ is available for guests use.

• Le Crémant - 2 bedroom cottage, beautifully renovated to sleep 4 persons. This cottage is on one level with private outdoor dining furniture in front of the cottage. It has been equipped with full modern amenities including dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, oven, toaster, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, satellite t.v. and central heating. A BBQ is available for guests use.

• Les Vignes - 1 bedroom cottage, sleeps 2 persons. Lovely cottage with modern amenities, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, oven, toaster, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, satellite t.v. and full central heating. A BBQ is available for guests use.
